Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across Missouri and nationwide, with remote-enabled responsibilities. The role requires strong technical and customer-facing skills and involves extensive travel, including overnights.

You will install, maintain, upgrade, and repair complex electro-mechanical systems, build relationships with customers, promote service agreements, and support field revenue while upholding quality standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 6+ years of related experience required.
• Experience with electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Foster teamwork across service and support teams while driving field service revenue through billable offerings.
• Attend product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO offices within the first year; ongoing trainings as needed.
• Travel includes scheduled and unscheduled visits with overnight stays for wide territories; national travel as required.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation and provide instrument support as needed.
