Job summary

Markem-Imaje, part of Dover Imaging & Identification, seeks a Field Service Representative in Louisville, KY. You will install, repair, and test coding and identification equipment for consumer goods, with travel across NAM regions and weekend coverage as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree and 3–5 years of field service experience, with strong customer relations and training abilities. Sign-on bonus included.

Qualifications

• BA of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• 3–5 years mission-critical field service experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical system theory and operation.
• Interpersonal and customer relationship management skills.
• Willing and able to share knowledge and conduct training to diverse audiences of varying sizes.
• Able to travel with short notice.
• Experience with coding, marking and product identification of fast-moving consumer goods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general field service repair and maintenance activities to support Markem-Imaje customers and installed machine base.
• Resolve operational issues in the field; identify issues and troubleshoot.
• Determine customer needs and offer recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales members to assist with machine demos, installations, training, courtesy calls, and follow up.
• Develop and maintain technical and operational competency on Markem-Imaje products through study and hands-on use.
• Travel for installations, training, emergency and routine maintenance as directed by management.
• Assist in expanding service coverage within the NAM regional area.
