Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver onsite and remote support for drives and systems across the US. You will perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel up to 70%. Remote work is supported within the continental US.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years relevant experience, or high school with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of ABB variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Carry out preparatory work regarding spare parts, testing tools, and documentation.
• Submit detailed service reports and follow up as needed.
• Coordinate with related groups to achieve objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with management, customers, vendors and employees; provide feedback on product quality.
