Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide field and remote technical support for IR equipment across the US, emphasizing reliable service, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3 years of field service experience, a High School diploma, a valid driver’s license, and up to 80% travel; candidates should be comfortable working remotely and collaborating with sales and service teams.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant technical background including millwright, maintenance, field service experience, or equivalent experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• The job includes an assigned vehicle for work use, so the candidate must have a valid license and pass a Motor Vehicle background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide field technical support at customers' sites for IR equipment to meet standards and preserve integrity.
• Follow safe work practices and report all safety incidents and near misses promptly.
• Improve responsiveness by performing sales calls, technical walk downs, and providing solutions.
• Complete required reports (Service, Customer, Expense, Time) on time for accurate invoicing and follow-up.
• Suggest improvements to processes to enhance customer response time and data accuracy.
