Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver on-site and remote technical support for IR equipment across the Northern Indiana/Ohio region and beyond. This role emphasizes customer focus, rapid response, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure service excellence and uptime.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of field service or maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant technical background including millwright, maintenance, engineering, field service experience, or equivalent experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• The job includes an assigned vehicle for work use, so the candidate must have a valid license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during repair and/or installation at customers' sites to ensure standards are met and equipment integrity is maintained.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed and report safety incidents.
• Improve responsiveness to customers by being available to make sales calls and provide solutions.
• Complete required reports on a timely basis to provide follow-up including invoicing for services.
• Suggest improvements to processes to improve response time and data accuracy.
• Comply with department guidelines to maintain service standards.
• Maintain proficiencies using vibration analysis and laser alignment equipment.
• Generate sales leads and provide information to Sales for opportunities and CRM.
