Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site repair and installation support for IR equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with standards. The role emphasizes customer-focused service and collaboration with the sales team to drive solutions and opportunities.

The position offers remote work with extensive travel (up to 80%), primarily based in Florida or the southeastern U.S. near a major airport, and requires a valid driver's license for a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant technical background including millwright, maintenance, engineering, field service experience, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during repair and/or installation at customers' sites to ensure standards are met.
• Ensure safe work practices and report all safety incidents.
• Improve responsiveness by making sales calls, doing technical walk downs, and providing solutions to customers.
• Complete required reports including Service Reports, Customer Call Reports, Expense Reports and Time Sheets on time.
• Suggest improvements to processes to improve response time and data accuracy.
• Comply with department guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain proficiencies using vibration analysis and laser alignment equipment for balancing and testing.
• Generate sales leads from customers to expand the IR installed base and feed CRM with opportunities.
