Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Process Controls to provide on-site and remote technical support for process control and instrumentation systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA, perform commissioning and calibration, and collaborate with project teams, traveling extensively across the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in field service, instrumentation, electrical, automation or related technical field.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems incl. sensors and valves.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, automation, or control systems.
• Familiarity with PLC, DCS, HMI or SCADA systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, schematics and control documents.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
• Strong safety focus and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA and related process control equipment.
• Perform loop checks, functional testing and diagnostics for proper operation.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs and control documentation.
• Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of instrumentation and hardware.
• Collaborate with customers, project teams and engineers to resolve issues.
• Document service activities and recommendations in reports.
• Follow safety requirements for industrial environments.
