Job summary
Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Process Controls to support installation, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of process control systems at customer sites. Based in Midland, TX with a field-based schedule and extensive travel, you will troubleshoot PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA, read P&IDs and wiring diagrams, and deliver timely service reports.
You will collaborate with customers, project teams, and Honeywell engineers to ensure safe, reliable operation and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of field service/instrumentation/automation experience.
- Knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, automation, or control system equipment.
- Familiarity with PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA systems and related documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote support for installation, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process control systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, and related control equipment.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Document service activities and recommendations in service reports.
- Follow safety requirements and collaborate with project teams to resolve issues.
