Job summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage team seeks a Lead Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service drive, power and automation systems at customer sites, including offshore vessels and ships.

You will lead on-site projects, diagnose complex issues, train customers, identify service opportunities, and travel up to 85% of the time across North America, with strong emphasis on safety and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Alternative: Associate's degree with 5+ years of related industry experience.
• Alternative: School diploma or GED with 8+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and commissioning of drive, power, and automation systems at customer sites, including ship construction locations.
• Troubleshoot at site during port visits or at sea; diagnose problems and implement corrective actions.
• Develop documentation for commissioning and maintenance procedures; execute customer training.
