GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage business seeks a Lead Field Service Engineer to perform installation, commissioning and service on drive, power and automation systems at customer sites during ship construction, offshore visits or onshore projects. You will troubleshoot, develop procedures, train customers and lead on-site technical efforts.

Travel up to 85% is required; a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with related experience is expected; US person with ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• OR Associate's Degree or related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum 5 additional years of related industry experience.
• OR School diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel 85% of the time on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission drive systems, power systems, automation systems or dynamic positioning systems at customer sites during ship construction.
• Troubleshoot at site locations during Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems and implement corrective actions.
• Develop documentation to execute work such as commissioning and maintenance procedures and train customers.
