Job summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage division seeks a Graduate Field Service Engineer to install, commission and support power conversion systems at customer sites, including ships and offshore locations.

The role demands travel up to 85%, offshore readiness, and a strong background in electrical power, semiconductors and digital electronics. Fresh graduates building a field service career are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
Associate degree in a related discipline with at least 1 additional year of industry experience.
Strong fundamentals in electrical power, semiconductors and digital electronics.

Responsibilities

Install and commission drive, power or automation systems at customer sites during ship construction.
Troubleshoot at port visits or at sea to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
Perform engineering tasks to ensure proper installation and commissioning of equipment.
Develop documentation for commissioning, maintenance procedures and customer training.
Identify opportunities for service contracts, spare parts, training and upgrades.
Provide on-call support in response to service requests.
Support growth of the North American business and assist engineering teams on upgrades.
Complete timely service reports and adhere to safety and site requirements.
