Job summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage division seeks a Field Service Engineer to install and commission drive systems, power and automation packages at customer sites, including offshore applications. You will troubleshoot, provide on-site technical leadership, and develop work procedures while driving customer satisfaction.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 85%), offshore survival readiness, and the ability to obtain security clearance for Department of Defense projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• OR Associate’s Degree or related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3 additional years of related industry experience.
• OR High School diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 6 years of related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission drive systems, power systems, automation systems or dynamic positioning systems at customer site locations during ship construction.
• Troubleshoot on-site during port visits or at sea to diagnose problems and implement corrective actions.
• Develop documentation to execute work such as commissioning and maintenance procedures and training.
• On-site project management and technical leadership to resolve customer issues and provide satisfaction.
• Identify sales opportunities for service agreements, spare parts, training, and upgrades.
