Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead commissioning of advanced drive systems and power electronics, including shipboard integration and diagnostics. You will work with naval and commercial customers, train operators, and promote service upgrades while traveling up to 85% of the time.

The role requires 5+ years in LV/MV drive commissioning, a relevant electrical engineering degree, and willingness to work offshore in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years in LV/MV drive and control systems commissioning.
• Associate’s Degree with 7+ years commissioning experience.
• High School Diploma with 10+ years commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end commissioning of advanced drive systems and power electronics.
• Perform diagnostics on MV/LV drive systems, rectifiers, and inverters.
• Validate communication protocols and control loops within multi-drive architectures.
• Conduct site diagnostics at offshore locations and vessel ports.
• Provide training on system operations, optimization, and maintenance strategies.
• Identify opportunities for service, parts, and system upgrades.
