Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Field Remote - Hicksville, NY) to install and service analytical equipment at customer sites across the Northeast. The role blends on-site installations with remote support, travel, and customer training from Albany to Poughkeepsie.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex instruments, while ensuring safety and compliance. A strong customer focus and experience with lab equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing, maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical bulletins and service manuals.
• Proven customer-facing service experience and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, maintenance, validations, and repairs of analytical equipment.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance of systems.
• Identify revenue opportunities such as billable work and consumables.
• Maintain assets, tools, and service parts inventory.
• Report quality improvements through notification processes.
• Complete time reporting and required trainings.
