Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Field Engineer to support a Border Patrol surveillance system deployed along the Southern Border. The role emphasizes outdoor work, teamwork, and adaptability to new technology while maintaining security standards.

You will provide on-site troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and customer training, with travel to client sites within the assigned area. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 35 pounds are required.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues for equipment and systems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on hardware, software, and network issues to restore functionality.
• Stay as a liaison between GDIT and customers to ensure satisfaction and promote services.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service visits and report recurring issues for improvements.
