Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support a Border Patrol surveillance system, performing on-site troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance along the Southern Border.

This role requires US citizenship, a valid driver's license, and ability to obtain a Public Trust BI. You will travel daily within the assigned area, work with a team, and adapt to new technologies while delivering clear documentation and customer training.

Qualifications

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution for equipment and systems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of hardware, software, and network issues to restore functionality.
• Install, configure, and test new equipment according to client specifications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service visits, issues and solutions.
• Train end-users on proper system use and troubleshooting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues for equipment and systems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on hardware, software, and network issues to restore functionality.
• Install, configure, and test new equipment and systems according to client specifications and guidelines.
• Promote and provide GDIT products or services at government locations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service visits and recommendations.
