Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support a Border Patrol surveillance system deployed along the Southern U.S. border.

The role requires outdoor work, strong teamwork, and adaptability to new technologies, with occasional remote duties and travel within the assigned area. Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust BI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in field service or technical support.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust BI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to restore functionality.
• Promote GDIT products or services at government locations and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Install, configure, and test equipment according to client specs and guidelines.
• Document service visits and prepare performance reports and SOPs.
