Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service laboratory equipment across PA/DE/MD with remote US coverage. The role requires travel up to 50% and assures installations, validations, repairs, and customer training to meet service standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of lab equipment repair, a science/engineering degree or equivalent experience, and strong customer communication skills. Willingness to travel and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field with military experience and 3 years repair experience OR AS degree with 5 years repair experience OR HS diploma with 7+ years repair experience.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, validate, and repair laboratory equipment per service standards.
Engage with customers to understand workflows and tailor service offerings including training and upgrades.
Identify revenue opportunities through billable work, consumables, and service leads.
Maintain assets, tools, test equipment, and service parts inventory.
Proactively report improvements via quality notification process.
Attend training and development offered by the company.
Complete all administrative tasks including time reporting and training.
Maintain training and safety compliance in health, safety, environmental and operational areas.
