Smart Start, Inc. in North Texas seeks a motivated Business Development Representative to expand our market presence through in-person influencer partnerships within an assigned territory.

You will focus on government officials, referral sources, and end users of alcohol monitoring products, building strong relationships and driving territory growth. The role emphasizes field-based sales with travel, requiring experience in law enforcement or public-sector environments and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the criminal justice system and building credible relationships with law enforcement partners.
• Must reside in North Texas area and be able to work independently in the field.
• Proven sales or business development experience with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to demonstrate breath alcohol testing devices and operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain in-person relationships with influencers and referral sources within the territory.
• Generate new sales through proactive outreach, territory planning, and relationship cultivation.
• Develop partnerships with government officials and referral partners for lead generation.
• Provide consultative support on product functionality and compliance features.
• Attend trade shows and state-level meetings related to alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock programs.
• Maintain proficiency with CRM, monitoring platforms, and product knowledge.
• Communicate effectively to extend product market share and drive territory growth.
