Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Field Property Adjuster based in central/eastern Massachusetts. You will investigate homeowner claims, confirm facts, assess damages, and negotiate settlements, handling supplements, ALE, contents and full ownership.

Strong Xactimate skills, customer service focus, and license readiness are essential. Experience in field and desk settings preferred; active adjuster license or reciprocity-ready license is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex claims clearly.
• Experience handling homeowner property claims from start to finish with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Xactimate and knowledge of liability, coverage, and supplements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish.
• Confirm facts of loss, determine coverage, assess damages and negotiate settlements.
• Manage supplements, ALE, contents, and full claim ownership in assigned area.
• Communicate with customers, contractors and partners to ensure timely resolution.
• Document activities and ensure compliance with policy terms and fair claims practices.
• Identify process improvements and share expertise with the team.
