Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States is seeking an Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to install, configure, test, and support ECH solutions on-premises and in cloud environments. This role requires independent work across customer sites with extensive travel.

You will verify site readiness, troubleshoot connectivity, document changes, and collaborate with partners while advancing cloud migrations and public safety deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Technology.
• 5+ years in engineering or technical environment.
• US work authorization and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience with cloud-based deployments and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with server virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Experience with SQL Server and Windows/Linux servers.
• SIP/PRI telephony knowledge and provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Site verification testing prior to production cutover.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Provides support to customers and partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to the solution including cloud configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures timely resolution of installation/quality issues.
• Contributes to Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
