Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Remote Field Engineer for Emergency Call Handling deployments across the US. You will configure, test, and support hybrid cloud and on-premise solutions, including API integrations.

The role requires cloud and virtualization expertise, strong IT operations, and travel up to 75% (domestic and international). Applicants should have a college degree in IT/Engineering, 5+ years in deployment, and security clearances as required by government contracts; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, IT, or Technology.
• 5+ years in deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, etc.).
• Experience with cloud-based troubleshooting, connectivity, latency, and identity management (SSO/AD).
• Experience with virtualization and server OS administration (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Windows).
• Experience with SQL Server versions 2008 R2/2012/2016/2022.
• Basic telephony knowledge including analog lines and PRI.
• US passport eligibility for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Configures and troubleshoots ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based apps.
• Performs site verification testing before production cutover.
• Manages cloud-to-local connectivity and API integrations.
• Documents changes to cloud tenants and configurations during deployments.
• Resolves installation/quality issues promptly.
• Contributes to MOPs for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Supports pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains skills in emerging cloud-native public safety tech.
