Job summary

Motorola Solutions is hiring an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to lead deployment and integration of ECH solutions across on-premise and cloud environments. The role emphasizes site verification, cloud connectivity, and cross-team collaboration to ensure a production-ready system.

The candidate will support customers and partners, document configurations, and contribute to cloud migration SOPs while maintaining expertise in evolving cloud-native public safety technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent.
• Microsoft Certified: Network+ and Security+.
• Cloud-based app troubleshooting including connectivity and identity management (SSO/AD).
• Server virtualization experience (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
• MS SQL Server 2008 R2 to 2022 experience.
• Windows Server 2012-2022 knowledge.
• Windows 10/11 workstations knowledge.
• Linux knowledge.
• Cisco IOS switches knowledge.
• Fortinet FortiGate firewall knowledge.
• Telephony knowledge for analog lines and PRI.
• Active Directory knowledge for account segregation.
• Self-management within deployment teams.
• Familiar with ESXi/KVM and Cisco switches.
• US passport eligible for international travel up to 75%.
• Public Safety Applications deployment experience preferred.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Configure ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Perform site verification testing prior to production cut.
• Configure and troubleshoot connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Provide support to customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Document changes (cloud tenant configurations, API integrations) during implementation.
• Resolve installation/quality issues promptly.
• Develop and approve Methods of Procedure (MOP) for cloud migrations/upgrades.
• Assist in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintain expertise in cloud-native public safety technologies.
