Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer. You will implement and support ECH solutions, including on-premise and cloud-hosted environments, with extensive travel across the US and internationally.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering/technical settings, strong virtualization and cloud skills, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Remote work is supported with frequent on-site actions and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Engineering or IT degree required; 5+ years in engineering/technical environment.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% domestically and internationally.
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud integrations.
• Familiarity with network switches, firewalls, and telephony basics.

Responsibilities

• Configure ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS apps.
• Perform site verification testing before production cutover.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between local infra and cloud environments.
• Support customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Document changes to cloud tenants and API integrations during projects.
• Assist in cloud migrations and development of Methods of Procedure (MOP).
• Participate in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintain expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
