Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to lead on-site configuration, testing, cutovers, and post-cut support for both on-premise and cloud-hosted ECH solutions across the United States.

This remote position requires 75%+ travel and demands strong knowledge in virtualization, Windows/Linux servers, networking, and security. A minimum of 5+ years in engineering/technical environments is expected, with relevant certifications highly regarded.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an engineering/technical environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.
• 3+ years in deployment/integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) are a plus.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ are preferred.
• Experience with Server OS (Windows/Linux) and virtualization.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% for US and international assignments.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Configure systems for ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Perform site verification testing before production cutover.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Provide customer and partner support during deployment.
• Document changes to configurations and integrations.
• Ensure timely resolution of installation/quality issues.
• Contribute to Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations.
• Assist in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintain skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
