Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to deploy and integrate on-premise and cloud-hosted ECH solutions across the U.S. and beyond. The role requires extensive configuration, testing, and cross-team collaboration to ensure production readiness.

The candidate will travel up to 75% and support customers and partners while maintaining expert knowledge in cloud-native public safety technologies. A related degree and security clearance eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
• College Degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology.
• Certifications such as AWS/Azure, CompTIA Network+ and Security+ are a plus.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance as required by government contract.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all supported ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Performs site verification testing prior to cutting a site into production.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted environments.
• Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment.
• Documents all changes to the solution, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Supports development and approval of Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required.
• Maintains subject matter expert skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
