Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer for a remote role with extensive travel across the US and internationally. The position oversees on-site configuration, testing, cutover, and post-cut support for ECH solutions, both on-premise and cloud-hosted.

Significant travel (>75%) is required. You will partner with customers and channels to deploy robust public safety deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an Engineering or Technical environment.
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

Responsibilities

• Configure and test ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Perform site verification testing prior to production deployment.
• Configure and troubleshoot connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Provide support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment.
• Document changes to the solution, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Participate in development and approval of Methods of Procedure (MOP) for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
• Participate in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintain subject matter expert skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
