Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Applications Specialist-(Chrom/TFF) to enable adoption of downstream processing technologies across the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast region. The role is remote with customer-facing duties and requires strong collaboration with internal teams to optimize chromatography and TFF workflows.

The ideal candidate has a life sciences background, hands-on biologics process development experience, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience
• Master’s degree preferred
• 3+ years in application/technical support within downstream processing environments
• Experience in biologics manufacturing; cell therapy exposure is an advantage
• Knowledge of biologics process development and scale-up for mAbs
• Ability to troubleshoot in customer environments
• Demonstrated capability to run demonstrations, trials, and training
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Quality in a matrix organization
• Strong customer focus and clear communication of technical value
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce/Tableau experience is a plus
• Willingness to travel >50% and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Support evaluations, assessments, and consultations translating requirements into product/workflow recommendations
• Design, coordinate, and document evaluation plans and outcomes for downstream systems
• Troubleshoot inquiries and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders
• Contribute technical insights to opportunity development and portfolio decisions
• Capture feedback and market trends to inform portfolio enhancements
• Assist in training field specialists and sales teams on technologies
• Train customers on new technologies and support start-up activities
• Support quality investigations through technical analysis
• Provide monthly territory activity reports
