Job summary

NanoTemper US is seeking a Field Applications Scientist to bridge cutting-edge biophysical technology and customer success. This remote, field-based role supports researchers and biopharma teams, delivering expert application knowledge that drives product excellence and measurable value for customers.

You will lead in-field demonstrations, support pre-sales technical discussions, install instruments on-site, and train customers.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience with protein characterization, drug discovery, or biophysical techniques
• Strong understanding of biophysical methods and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation
• Excellent communication and scientific reporting skills
• Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50-70%) for customer visits

Responsibilities

• Lead in-field and in-house customer demonstrations showcasing NanoTemper solutions and applications
• Support pre-sales technical discussions (remote and in-person) by understanding customer needs
• Prepare, present, and discuss demo and evaluation reports with customers and internal stakeholders
• Manage demo unit booking and logistics for timely access
• Perform instrument installation and on-site technical support
• Deliver application-focused and in-field user training
• Present at webinars, workshops, and conferences highlighting applications
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D on feedback and workflow improvements
