Job summary

Takara Bio USA is seeking a Field Applications Scientist III for the Bay Area. The role is remote-based, with approximately 75% travel, including overnight and some international travel.

As the primary technical expert for spatial biology and single-cell NGS applications, you will train customers, deliver technical seminars, support pre-sales, and collaborate with Marketing, R&D and the commercial team to ensure excellent customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in a related field; significant field experience accepted.
• 3+ years field application experience required.
• 3+ years lab or related work experience.
• Experience supporting Spatial Biology technologies or single-cell NGS apps required.
• Must be self-motivated and customer-centric.

Responsibilities

• Educate, support and train on Spatial Biology products and single-cell NGS platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues related to kits and library prep.
• Provide pre-sales support with Account Executives and deliver product seminars.
• Deliver technical training for sales, distributors and internal teams.
• Maintain documentation of all technical communications and analysis.
• Collaborate with Marketing and R&D; share voice of the customer from early access customers.
• Maintain system documentation and support ongoing product launches.
