Job summary
Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a commercially focused Field Applications Scientist to join our Technical Services team in the US Northeast, supporting Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. This field-based role involves up to 70% travel and close collaboration with Sales to drive technology adoption and customer success.
You will provide pre- and post-sales technical support, deliver trainings and workshops, build strong customer relationships, and help translate complex
Qualifications
- PhD or MSc with relevant experience in life sciences.
- Strong molecular biology/genomics background.
- Experience supporting experiments, workflows, data analysis.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into customer stories.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to support opportunities and provide technical expertise.
- Deliver pre-sales and post-sales technical support and training.
- Build long-term customer relationships and adoption of ONT technologies.
- Deliver presentations, workshops, and training to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with Technical Services, Sales, PM, Marketing to meet objectives.
- Develop engagement plans for strategic accounts and align with needs.
- Document customer interactions and feedback in CRM.
