Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is seeking a Field Application/Sales Engineer (electronics) to support regional sales with deep technical expertise in embedded computing, FPGA/DSP, RF, and open-architecture platforms.

This fully remote role covers a Texas + Canada territory with regular customer travel. Ideal candidates will translate customer requirements into technical solutions, present capabilities and roadmaps, and collaborate across sales and engineering teams to ensure successful pre-sales and

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years in field applications, technical sales, or systems engineering.
• Strong hardware/software integration and embedded computing understanding.
• Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support with regional sales teams.
• Experience presenting product capabilities to customers.
• Strong knowledge of FPGA/DSP embedded hardware and RF/analog tech.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Travel 50%+ with overnight/multi-day trips.
• Willingness to travel regularly (≈2 weeks per month).

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present product portfolios, roadmaps, and application capabilities to customers.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams for pre-sales engagements.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance throughout the customer relationship.
• Collaborate across sales, engineering, and customer organizations to drive outcomes.
