Job summary

RRC Solutions Group seeks a Field Application Engineer (electronics) for a primarily remote role covering Texas and Canada. You will assist regional sales managers by gathering customer requirements, recommending embedded computing solutions, and presenting technical roadmaps.

You will be the technical liaison across sales and engineering teams, supporting pre-sales activities and ongoing customer engagements. Expect 50%+ travel, including multi-day trips, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
• Strong technical understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating customer needs into technical requirements or product recommendations.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more, including overnight and multi-day trips.
• Experience supporting aerospace and defense customers.
• Familiarity with VPX/OpenVPX, SOSA and MOSA, PCIe, Graphics/GPU computing

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present product portfolios, technical roadmaps, and capabilities to customers.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales and internal teams during pre-sales engagements and ongoing support.
• Manage the customer engagement lifecycle from requirements gathering to implementation and support.
