Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support regional sales with technical guidance across aerospace and defense applications. The role is remote with Texas/Canada coverage, requiring frequent travel and deep knowledge of embedded computing, FPGA/DSP, and RF/analog technologies.

You will gather customer requirements, translate them into technical specs, and present solutions while collaborating with sales and engineering teams to drive success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, or similar.
• Strong hardware/software integration and embedded computing knowledge.
• Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements.
• Proven ability to support technical sales and collaborate with sales teams.
• Experience presenting technical information to customers.
• Understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware and RF/analog tech.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending solutions.
• Present product portfolios and roadmaps to customers.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Provide pre-sales support and ongoing technical assistance during engagements.
