Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (electronics) to support regional sales from a fully remote setup across Texas and into Canada. You will bring deep embedded computing knowledge, FPGA/DSP and RF expertise to translate requirements into technical solutions, present roadmaps, and collaborate with sales and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include supporting pre-sales engagements, balancing customer needs with product capabilities, and traveling regularly to customer

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar.
• Strong technical understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into technical requirements or product recommendations.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information and solutions to customers.
• Knowledge of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware and RF/analog technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ including overnight and multi-day trips.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present product portfolios, roadmaps, and capabilities to customers.
• Serve as technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams during pre-sales engagements.
• Translate customer needs into actionable technical specifications and product recommendations.
• Travel regularly to customer sites and events to enable deals and support implementations.
