ABB is seeking a Region Field Application Engineer Leader in the Los Angeles area to lead technical support for MV/LV switchgear, transformers and related products. You will work with consultants, end users, EPCs and contractors, travel locally, and help ensure ABB solutions meet project specifications.

You will educate customers, develop engineering papers for IEEE events, and act as the voice of the customer for product opportunities and market trends.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in electrical engineering with 5+ years in electrical distribution.
• PE certification preferred; knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL.
• Experience in field, plant or design engineering in electrical power systems.

Responsabilités

• Define electrical project needs and provide design education to gain acceptance in project specifications.
• Serve as local product expert on MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, transformers, and related equipment.
• Apply short circuit, coordination and arc flash concepts using SKM or Easy Power.
• Educate customers publicly and contribute to IEEE papers or industry events.
