Job summary

MSD is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as an access SME for HCPs and HCOs, coordinating with patient support, market access, and field sales to facilitate therapy access. You will educate providers on access processes, verify benefits, and address payer questions, while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The role is remote/field-based with 20–25% travel, requiring collaboration across functions and hubs to resolve patient access barriers and support hub enrollment where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 7+ years in patient support or related field.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures and access processes.
• Travel up to 25% and must reside in the New Orleans metro area.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education on patient access and benefits verification.
• Analyze access trends and identify barriers to patient access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient access to therapy.
• Coordinate with hub vendor on patient cases and enrollment.
• Educate field teams on access issues and payer policies.
• Attend national and regional meetings.
