Job summary

MSD in the United States is seeking a Field Access Manager (FAM) to serve as the subject-matter expert on access issues for HCPs and HCOs. The role is remote/field-based and will partner with patient support, market access, field sales to facilitate timely patient access to therapy.

You will analyze access trends, deliver payer education, coordinate with hub vendors, and educate field teams on benefit design and coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years experience in patient support, healthcare sales/ops, or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
• HIPAA compliance and hub/patient support understanding.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% and reside in the New Orleans area assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to HCP accounts on patient access and benefit verification.
• Analyze access trends.
• Coordinate with hub/vendor and cross-functional teams to address barriers to patient access.
• Educate field teams on access processes and payer coverage.
• Support patient access and payer coverage questions.
• Attend National and Regional Meetings.
