Job summary

MSD is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as a subject-matter expert on access for HCPs and HCOs. You will work across patient support, market access, and field sales to ensure timely patient access to therapy.

The role is remote/field-based with 20-25% travel, supporting defined accounts within an assigned geography and collaborating with cross-functional teams to overcome payer barriers and optimize access programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in patient support, Pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or operations, or reimbursement support.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and related access processes.
• Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and benefits, in live or virtual formats.
• Analyze access trends and payer coverage policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address barriers to patient access and satisfaction.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to support seamless patient access.
• Educate field teams on access processes and hub program offerings.
• Escalate and coordinate on access issues with third parties including hub vendors.
• Attend national and regional meetings.
