Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject-matter expert on access for HCPs and HCOs. This remote/field-based role supports patient access to therapy and collaborates with patient support, market access, field sales, and other teams while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

You will provide information on access processes, payer coverage, and hub programs, analyze access trends, and escalate issues with third parties.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in patient support, pharma/healthcare sales or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid and commercial payer processes.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality expertise.
• Remote work ability with 20–25% travel; must reside in the Ohio Valley territory.
• 21+ with a valid driver’s license and a clean record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access, including benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, and patient support programs.
• Analyze access trends.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify and address barriers to patient access.
• Build collaborative, trusted relationships to support seamless patient access to therapy.
• Monitor payer trends to address access barriers.
• Provide access information to HCP offices.
• Provide access education to field teams on approved direction.
• Escalate and coordinate access issues with third parties including hub vendors.
• Provide education and support on Specialty Pharmacy issues.
• Explain coverage under different payer designs (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
• Educate HCPs on hub program and patient support offerings.
• Attend National and Regional Meetings.
