Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as a subject‑matter expert on access issues for HCPs and HCOs. The role supports patient access to therapy by providing education on access processes, reimbursement, and patient assistance programs in a remote/field setting.

The FAM collaborates with Field Sales, Market Access, and other teams to identify barriers and coordinate with the access hub on patient cases, ensuring compliant, timely access across payers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 7 years in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or operations, or reimbursement support.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures and related access processes.
• HIPAA/compliance knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and support programs.
• Analyze access trends and payer coverage to address barriers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Field Sales, Market Access, and other teams.
• Educate HCP offices on hub programs and patient support resources.
• Travel 20–25% and operate effectively in a remote environment.
