Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to act as the subject matter expert on access issues for HCPs and HCOs. This remote/field-based role collaborates with patient support, market access, and field sales to ensure timely patient access to therapy and compliant education on access and coverage.

The FAM will analyze access trends, coordinate with an access hub, and provide information on payer coverage for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with experience in patient support, pharmaceutical sales or reimbursement support.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and related access processes.
• Familiarity with hub and patient support activities and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to HCP accounts on patient access, benefit verification, prior authorization and appeals.
• Analyze access trends and collaborate cross-functionally to remove barriers to access.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to support patient access to therapy.
• Monitor payer trends and educate field teams on access considerations.
• Respond to coverage questions and update HCP offices on hub programs.
