Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject-matter expert on access issues for HCPs and HCOs. The role is remote/field-based within a defined geography, collaborating with Field Sales, Market Access, and patient support to ensure timely patient access to therapy.

The FAM educates providers on access processes, reimbursement, and hub programs, analyzes access trends, and coordinates with hub vendors and third parties to resolve issues while ensuring compliance with healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid and commercial plans.
• HIPAA/compliance expertise.
• Experience with hub and patient support activities.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% and reside in New England South territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on access and benefit verification.
• Analyze access trends and barriers to patient access.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address access issues.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to support patient access.
• Monitor payer trends and educate HCP offices on hub programs.
