Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking an entry-level Default QA FHA Claims Analyst I to review FHA Part A mortgage insurance claims for accuracy and submit the claim forms. This role offers remote work from home with moderate supervision and a pay range of $22.00–$26.00 per hour.

You will perform quality checks, communicate corrections to the filing team, document activity, and ensure all required documentation is included in the claim file.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college preferred.
• One (1) or more years’ mortgage servicing default experience, or QA/QC experience in another line of business, or College Graduate.

Responsibilities

• Review FHA Part A claims for accuracy within investor/timeframes.
• Complete quality checks using scorecards or checklists.
• Communicate correction requests to filing team and ensure timely corrections.
• Document system with tasks and comments.
• Ensure accurate dates on the Part A claim form.
• Review foreclosure and default timeframe for extensions.
• Ensure compliance with curtailment of interest policies.
• Include all required documentation in the Claim File.
• Finalize and submit claim to agency for payment.
• Escalate trends or issues identified from quality review.
• Maintain understanding of default claims processes and servicing workflows.
