Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Default QA FHA Claims Analyst I to review FHA Part A mortgage insurance claims for accuracy and submit the claim form for filing. This role can be performed remotely from home and pays a target range of $22.00/hr - $26.00/hr, with a focus on teamwork and quality.

You will conduct quality checks, communicate corrections to the filing team, document tasks, and ensure all required documentation is included in the claim file while meeting strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college preferred.
• 1+ years mortgage servicing default experience, or QA/QC experience in another line of business or college graduate.

Responsibilities

• Review FHA Part A claims for accuracy within timeframes.
• Perform quality checks using scorecards/checklists to identify errors.
• Communicate correction requests to claim filing team and ensure timely corrections.
• Document system with tasking and comments.
• Ensure accurate dates and information on Part A claim forms.
• Review foreclosure/default timeframe for applicable extensions.
• Ensure curtailment of interest procedures are followed.
• Include required documentation in the Claim File.
• Finalize and submit claim to agency for payment.
• Escalate trends or issues from quality reviews.
• Understand default claims processes for insurers and investors.
• Understand the default servicing process including Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation and Claims.
