Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Default QA FHA Claims Analyst I to review FHA Part A mortgage insurance claims for accuracy and submit the claim form for filing. This role operates remotely, with a target pay range of $22.00/hr - $26.00/hr and requires 1+ year in mortgage servicing default or QA/QC experience.

Under moderate supervision, you will perform quality checks, communicate corrections to the filing team, and finalize claims for payment while adhering to policies and laws.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college preferred.
• 1+ year mortgage servicing default experience or QA/QC experience.

Responsibilities

• Review FHA Part A claims for accuracy within investor/insurer timeframes.
• Complete quality checks using a scorecard/checklist to identify errors in the claim.
• Communicate correction requests to claim filing team and ensure corrections are completed timely.
• Document system with appropriate tasking and comments.
• Ensure accurate dates and information on the Part A claim form.
• Review foreclosure and default timeframe to ensure extensions are included.
• Ensure curtailment of interest procedures are followed.
• Finalize and submit claim to agency for payment.
• Escalate trends or issues identified from quality reviews.
• Moderate knowledge of default claims processes for insurers and investors.
