Job summary

Source is seeking an experienced Purchasing Project Director to lead project purchasing, oversee project teams, communicate with clients, work with trusted vendors, and manage multiple FF&E projects from inception to installation for commercial and hospitality spaces.

You will ensure budgets, timelines, and design vision alignment while guiding a team of PMs and coordinators and streamlining procurement processes across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of FF&E purchasing experience.
• 5+ years managing purchasing teams.
• Experience hiring and scaling a team to meet capacity.
• Ability to independently lead large, complex projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Familiarity with commercial interior products and architectural drawings.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, PM, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration.
• Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Review project timelines and keep work on track for delivery.
• Manage team capacity and assign managers/coordinators to incoming work.
• Train team on purchasing processes and SOPs.
• Update team on Source's software and SOP changes.
• Identify priorities for each project with the team.
• Keep specifications within budget and aligned with design vision.
• Audit specs and floorplans with designers/architects to resolve clarifications.
• Track budgets and communicate changes to clients.
• Build vendor bid lists and run RFQ processes.
• Present bid analyses and vendor recommendations to clients.
