Job summary

SMX seeks a dynamic Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation for a federal government client. The SAP Analytics Cloud platform underpins the solution, demanding budgeting expertise and a proven record of delivering complex IT projects.

As the primary client liaison, you will coordinate cross‑functional teams of business analysts, data engineers, and budget SMEs, ensuring on‑time delivery within budget and adherence to federal security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager leading complex IT or financial system implementations.
• Proven experience managing SAP ERP implementation and upgrade projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
• Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle and methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Hybrid).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of the CFO BAS implementation including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Serve as the primary liaison between federal client stakeholders, SMX teams, and vendors.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan with tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
• Maintain understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud and BAS to guide the project.
• Lead a cross‑functional team of analysts, data engineers, and solution architects.
• Provide regular status reports on progress, risks, and finances.
• Ensure the solution meets client requirements, is on time, and compliant with security protocols.
