Job summary

SMX is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower Budget and Spend (BAS) implementation for a federal government client. The role requires navigating federal budgeting, planning, and reporting processes while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of a solution built on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

You will manage a cross-functional team of business analysts, data engineers, and solution architects, coordinating with client stakeholders and vendors to realize the mission

Qualifications

• 10+ years of PM experience leading complex IT or financial system implementations.
• Proven SAP ERP implementation and upgrade experience.
• Experience leading projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
• Knowledge of PMP, Agile, Hybrid project methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage full lifecycle of the CFO BAS implementation from initiation to closure.
• Serve as primary client liaison ensuring alignment with goals and expectations.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan with timelines and dependencies.
• Provide regular status reports on progress, risks, and budget to leadership.
