Job summary

SMX is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower Budget and Spend (BAS) implementation for a key federal government client. The role requires deep expertise in federal budgeting, planning, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to drive a cutting-edge planning and reporting tool.

This full-time, 100% remote position involves minimal travel (<20%), a Public Trust clearance, and collaboration with a team of analysts, data engineers, and solution architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience leading IT or financial system implementations.
• Experience managing SAP ERP implementation and upgrades for U.S. Federal Government.
• Familiarity with PMP, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from planning to delivery for CFO BAS implementation.
• Serve as primary client liaison between federal stakeholders, SMX teams, and vendors.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with risk mitigation.
• Provide governance, status reports, and financial health updates.
